‘Scuse my dust

If the site looks a little schizophrenic lately, it’s because I’m having a devil of a time trying to find a template that has all the features I want. Unfortunately, the only way to preview a template and find out what features it has is to activate it, so if you logged on and found three different templates in as many minutes, it’s because I was test-driving templates while you were surfing.

I think this one — called “Chaotic Soul” — is probably a keeper, because it has a search feature, a custom header option, and a black background that makes my custom header look all bright and spiffy. The header, incidentally, is made up of images from many different Tulsa businesses.

If there is a business you would like to see on here, please let me know, and we’ll try to pay it a visit at our earliest convenience. Upcoming reviews include: Cheap Thrills, DoubleShot Coffee Company, Flytrap Records, Knotty Pine BBQ, LaDonna’s Fancy Foods, Mid-’50s Modern, and Swinney’s Hardware. And whatever else I wander across while I’m out killing time on my lunch hour. Sometime in the not-too-distant future, I intend to add a page listing all the businesses we’ve reviewed so readers can find them easily.

If you enjoy this blog — and Tulsa’s great mom-and-pop businesses — please recommend it to others who might be interested. The more publicity we can give these little guys, the better off they’ll be.
